Parents are the primary educators of their children and contribute much to the school community. All parents are required to donate 40 hours of service to the school on an annual basis. (20 hours if single).

Parents serve on the School Board, Parent Club Board and Athletic Board.
Parents work in the classroom, library, front office, Reading Recovery Program, Art in Action and serve as yard duty monitors. They also donate their time and talent to the parish.

All parents are members of our active parents club. The parents club take care of events such as Back to School Coffee, Back to School Picnic, Faculty Appreciation Day, Principal Appreciation Day, and Grandparents' Day. They are in charge of fundraisers, which include, SCRIP, Candy Sale, Gift Wrap, Holiday Boutique and Fashion Show.

Each November IHM hosts a sold out fashion show, produced by a professional event team, to create one of the peninsular's most exciting and fun annual events. Over the years we have partnered with premiumn retailers such as Macy's, Mervyns, Selix Formalwear, and The Limited Too, as well as other select local retailers, to showcase the lastest fashions.
This fund raiser has become more profitable each year, and the funds raised directly benefiting the IHM academic programs. Event attendees include over 400 IHM families, parishioners, and communitity members who buy tickets for the luncheon and fashion show.
